Brantling Ski & Snowboard Center in Sodus, New York is the home training facility for Brantling Ski Racing Association (BSRA), offering excellent terrain, lifts, and amenities that support year-after-year youth ski racing development. Located just ten minutes from Route 104, this small, family-owned ski area provides a welcoming environment for racers, families, and spectators alike.
Terrain & Lifts
Brantling features nine slopes and trails serviced by five surface lifts — one T-bar and four handle tows — all of which are lighted for night skiing and training. This layout allows BSRA coaches to conduct effective drills, gate work, and timed runs across varied terrain throughout the season.
Training Advantage
The combination of gentle beginner runs and more challenging pitches makes Brantling ideal for both developmental training and advanced race preparation. Snowmaking on five trails ensures consistent conditions for structured practice, and the ability to set race courses on varied terrain helps athletes progress from fundamentals to competition readiness.
Lodge & Family Amenities
The ski lodge serves as a perfect home base for BSRA families. It features a wood stove, cubbies, and a fireplace, along with spectator-friendly views of the slopes. Non-skiing parents and siblings can relax in the lodge, enjoy food from the café, or socialize on the deck overlooking the training areas.
Community Experience
Brantling’s family atmosphere — highlighted by comfortable seating areas, a beer & wine bar (21+), and ample picnic space — makes every practice and race day enjoyable for both racers and their families. The facility’s layout supports social interaction while keeping the focus on skill development and fun.
