Brantling Ski Racing Association (BSRA) is guided by a dedicated Board of Directors committed to supporting youth ski racing in the Rochester and Syracuse, New York areas. Our Board provides governance, strategy, community outreach, and leadership to ensure BSRA remains a trusted and vibrant home for young racers and families. Each Board member brings unique experience in skiing, coaching, community engagement, and organizational development to help athletes thrive both on and off the snow.

PresidentCaitlyn McKechney
Caitlyn McKechney, board president, is the parent of three ski racers- two with BSRA and two who race for Mercy and McQuaid in the high school league. Having learned how to ski at Brantling, she is excited to be able to give her children the same opportunity.
Caitlyn resides in Marion, NY. Caitlyn attended Rochester Institute of Technology. Out of college, Caitlyn began working for an eviction attorney and transitioned to property management in the City of Rochester. Caitlyn worked remotely for a firm in based out of Seattle WA for a few years before returning to the Rochester Market. Caitlyn now works for Buckingham Properties in Rochester as the Residential Business Operations Manager. In her free time, Caitlyn and her family enjoy traveling, spending time boating and kayaking at their cottage in Port Bay and watching all her children enjoy playing their sports. |
Vice PresidentJessica Brotsch
Jessica Brotsch, our secretary, is the parent to two skiers. Jessica grew up in Rochester, NY and learned to ski in college when her husband taught her. She spent 6 years living and skiing in Colorado but is happy to be be back in NY. Jessica's children have gone through Brantling's Koalas, Bears, Grizzlies programs and are now part of the race team. She loves watching her children grow as skiers.
Jessica attended Keuka College and the University of Colorado. She started her career as an elementary and special education teacher but now she and her husband, Brian, run their family business, Knox Amusement. |

TreasurerRuss VanTyle
Russ VanTyle, our treasurer, is the parent of two ski racers. Russ grew up in Newark, NY and lives in Fairport, NY. He learned to ski at Brantling. His wife Melissa works in the Newark Central School District. Russ is a Principal at Vizient; leading sales for a partnership between Mayo Clinic Supply Chain, Humanity Corp and Vizient called Inspirity. Russ attended Providence College, achieved an MBA from St John Fisher University, and has a CMRP designation from the American Hospital Association.
Russ’ children entered ski racing through the Brantling Bears and Grizzlies programs. He has enjoyed getting a much deeper understanding of ski racing through his involvement in the club. |
