Brantling Ski Racing Association’s U8–U16 sanctioned racing program offers a structured pathway for junior racers ages 8–15 to compete in both BSRA and NYSSRA-sanctioned events. Sanctioned racing allows athletes to participate in both sanctioned and non-sanctioned races, providing broader competition opportunities and a clear progression toward higher levels of alpine ski racing. This program focuses on skill refinement, race preparation, and competitive experience for developing athletes.

What is sanctioned racing?
Sanctioned racing means that athletes register with a governing league (like NYSSRA) and compete under official rules and rankings. Sanctioned racers can:
- Compete in both sanctioned and non-sanctioned events
- Earn official race results and standings
- Progress toward higher-level racing opportunities
