Brantling U8–U12 Racers Shine at Robins Race at Skaneateles Ski Hill

This Saturday, our Brantling Ski Racing Association U8–U12 athletes and siblings headed to Skaneateles Ski Hill for one of our favorite events of the season — the annual Robins Race.

This race continues to be a highlight on our calendar, not just for the competition, but for the atmosphere, community spirit, and pure love of ski racing that defines the day.

A Perfect Race Day Atmosphere for Young Ski Racers
Robins Race at Skaneateles Ski Hill is known throughout the Central New York ski racing community for its welcoming, laid-back vibe. It’s the perfect event for younger racers to gain experience while still keeping the fun front and center.

Brantling families set up tents, fired up the BBQ, and turned the bottom into a full tailgate celebration. Between runs, racers warmed up, cheered each other on, and enjoyed time together as teammates and friends. For many of our U8–U12 athletes, these types of races are where confidence grows and lifelong memories are made.

Events like Robins Race help introduce younger ski racers to:

• Racing at different mountains
• Competing against new athletes
• Handling start-gate nerves
• Supporting teammates in a team environment

We are proud of every racer who stepped into the start gate this weekend. Whether it was a first race or a podium finish, each athlete represented Brantling Ski Racing Association with sportsmanship and determination.
