The Brantling Ski Racing Association (BSRA) had an exciting stretch of competition across three Syracuse-area ski races, showcasing both strong podium finishes and the club’s unique family-centered culture.

From the fun-filled 4th Annual Matt Piazza Race at Song Mountain in Tully, NY to competitive U14 events at Greek Peak and Labrador Mountain, BSRA athletes demonstrated skill, sportsmanship, and team spirit throughout the region.

BSRA Competes at the 4th Annual Matt Piazza Race – Song Mountain, Tully NY

Each year, BSRA travels to Song Mountain for the Annual Matt Piazza Race, a beloved tradition for our club. While many ski races focus heavily on points and standings, this event gives our athletes a chance to step away from high-pressure competition and simply enjoy ski racing together.
What makes this race special?
  • Younger siblings are encouraged to try racing.
  • Parents step into the start gate.
  • The entire Brantling Ski Racing Association community participates.

The day reflects what BSRA youth ski racing is all about: developing strong skiers while fostering a positive, supportive team environment.

Song Mountain Podium Finishes
Even during a “fun” race, BSRA racers delivered impressive results:
  • U8 – Caroline King: 3rd Place
  • U10 – Kennedy McKechney: 3rd Place
  • U12 – Lila Miles: 3rd Place
We are proud of these young athletes for representing Brantling Ski Racing Association with confidence and determination.

U14 BSRA Racers Compete at Greek Peak and Labrador Mountain

Two weeks prior, BSRA’s U14 athletes traveled to compete at Greek Peak Mountain Resort and Labrador Mountain, two well-known ski racing venues in Central New York.

These events were part of the more competitive race circuit for our developing U14 ski racers, and the performances did not disappoint.

Kendall Bierly Earns Podium Finishes in GS and Slalom
Kendall Bierly had a standout weekend across both mountains:
  • 3rd Place – Giant Slalom at Greek Peak
  • 1st Place – Slalom at Labrador Mountain
These results reflect the high-level technical training BSRA athletes receive and the dedication our racers bring to both Giant Slalom (GS) and Slalom disciplines.

The Brantling Ski Racing Association continues to provide structured youth ski racing programs for athletes throughout the Rochester and Syracuse regions. From introductory U8 racers to competitive U14 athletes and beyond, BSRA focuses on:
  • Technical ski development
